6 Coffee Shops You Must Visit in Las Vegas

I have an addiction to tasty signature lattes. I don’t drink them every day (normally Pat and I have a carafe of cold brew in the fridge, or I just drink the coffee from the office Keurig), but there’s nothing better than visiting a coffee shop on the weekend to try something new.

When I first moved to Vegas, I came across someone’s Instagram profile that was 100% Vegas coffee shop recommendations. To my dismay, I can no longer find the profile! I don’t remember the handle, but I originally found it by just googling “coffee shops in Vegas”. My best guess is that she moved away and change her username. I made a list of the following coffee shops I wanted to try, based on her posts:

Since then, I’ve tried many of these locations and more. I honestly was surprised to find out how much Vegas loves its coffee. When I think of coffee-loving cities, the PNW and New York City come to mind–definitely not Las Vegas. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety here!

I want to note that I’m no connoisseur or coffee snob. This post is about the atmosphere of these shops, not necessarily the details of the roasts. Like I said, I’m a signature latte kind of girl!

Coffee Religion

Coffee Religion has become our go-to for a delicious latte. It’s fairly close to both my office and where we live, and it’s right across the street from our car mechanic. Naturally, we treat ourselves every time we have to bring the cars in!

The very first drink I tried was the Toffee Nut Latte from their seasonal menu. It was INCREDIBLE. It’s still my favorite, and I’ve tried nearly all of their signature lattes by now. My runner-up would be the Mardi Gras, which is bourbon, blackberry, and caramel flavored.

We love the decor–the plant wall is the perfect backdrop for my book pictures!

Their shop is the perfect place to relax with a book, do some homework, or catch up with friends. If you’re in the mood for food, make sure you check out their Instagram-worthy high tea service, or taste the signature Momos.

Yaw Farm

Just up the road from Coffee Religion, Yaw Farm is another favorite of mine. The owner, Ian, is a one-man operation. He will happily offer a recommendation based on your tastes, and he is always up for a chat while he prepares your drink.

If you like chili and chocolate, make sure you try the Spicy Mexican Mocha. It’s shockingly spicy, but also delicious. I could drink it every day. If spicy isn’t for you, the Carmello latte is an incredible sweet option. All the lattes are made with oat milk. If you are a black coffee lover, you can order a tasting flight of all the different brews!

We bought beans from Ian on our last visit and have been making delicious cold brew with them at home.

Yaw Farm also has the most gorgeous countertop I’ve ever seen!

PublicUS

PublicUS is WILDLY popular, so if you go on a weekend be ready to wait. Luckily, their restaurant is worth hanging out in. The decor is incredible, especially the huge wood tables.

Their latte options are a little more limited, but I love their iced mocha. Pat always orders the cold brew, which is also delicious. You might as well stick around for breakfast too. We’ve never been disappointed by the massive plates of food!

Bungalow Coffee Co.

Bungalow Coffee Company in the Arts District is another shop we frequent. Their abundance of plants is, once again, the perfect backdrop for my book pictures.

My favorite drink on their menu actually isn’t coffee, but the Oatmilk Apple Pie Chai Latte.

I love their decor, and they have plenty of space for customers to hang out and work.

Mothership Coffee Roasters

Mothership has a few locations across the valley, but my favorite is downtown inside Ferguson’s. Granted, when you visit the downtown location, you don’t stay inside for long. It’s situated at the center of a little outdoor mall of local shops, and if you don’t at least do a little window shopping you’re missing out. It’s a great date location!

HI-Coffee Cafe

We don’t live in Henderson anymore, but when we did we were at the HI-Coffee Cafe almost every weekend. Pat would study there, and I would read or mess around on my computer (this was pre-blog!).

As you can guess, they brew 100% Kona coffee, and their Ube treats are their specialty. They serve one of the most luscious scones I’ve ever tasted.

I miss frequenting their shop, but I now make a point to stop by every time I’m in the area for a site visit. I’ve brought my boss twice!

My intent with this post was to bring some attention to my favorite off-strip coffee shops. I’m sure there are many great on-strip cafes, but I tend to avoid the strip unless I have to go there for work. I had a tasty sugar cookie latte at the Wynn cafe just last week, though!

If you ask for coffee recommendations online, you’ll see a lot of people recommend Gabi Cafe and Cafe Lola. I’ve been to both–they’re great, but in my opinion, they focus more on Instagrammability than on coffee or atmosphere. Lola especially was full of influencers trying to get the perfect shot under their neon lights. The chai I had there was tasty, but salad I ordered was supposed to be chicken Ceasar and was just romaine lettuce with some almonds 🤷‍♀️. Gabi was much cooler–I loved the bookish decor, but it was incredibly busy so we probably won’t be back. The salted foam iced coffee I got was good, but not quite $7 good. You’re definitely paying for the atmosphere at both places!

If you liked this list, I have many more Vegas coffee suggestions to come. We’re planning on trying out Brew It Coffee and Caffeine Machine in the coming weeks. Caffeine Machine has a latte sampler flight, which is everything I’ve ever wanted!
